This post is all about what may happen and what you can do when you are unable to Pay QuickQuid. QuickQuid is one of the companies I personally owed money to so this post details what happened when they weren’t paid and what happened next.

Things to consider: –

• Whilst this is what happened when I didn’t pay QuickQuid, there are no guarantees the same will happen to you.
• Not Paying QuickQuid will affect your Credit Rating.

What happened when QuickQuid didn’t get paid

The Bank Account QuickQuid were using to take payment was empty because I had moved to a different bank. They attempted to collect payment on the due date and this failed. Several reminder e-mails were received and they attempted to contact me on my mobile.

This happened about three years ago and at the time QuickQuid would not accept a repayment plan over three months. Things have moved on since then as QuickQuid may allow you to set up a pre default arrangement and you can then make payment over three months. However I don’t think this was an option at the time I was unable to pay them.

After three months of non-payment, QuickQuid instructed a Debt Collection Agency called Face2Face Contact to collect the outstanding debt. I paid Face2Face Contact for about 12 months.

The Final Step

After approximately 12 months, QuickQuid sold the outstanding account to a company called Mackenzie Hall. Mackenzie Hall are a Debt Collection Agency who buy up these types of debt then collect them. They can be quite difficult to deal with over the phone so you are best keeping your contact with them in writing as you will find that easier.

To Summarise:

• QuickQuid chased the outstanding amount by e-mail, letter and phone calls.
• A default entry was marked on my credit report.
• A Debt Collection Agency called Face2Face Contact collected the account.
• The account was sold to a Debt Collector called Mackenzie Hall.
