My T-Mobile Debt

My T-Mobile Debt originates from a Mobile Phone Contract I took out and stopped paying about halfway through.

I am still liable for the other half of the contract so this is another debt to add on to the pile.

Here are the vital statistics for my T-Mobile Debt:

Current Balance:  £362.05
Original Balance: £430
Monthly Repayment: £2.42

What happened when I didn’t pay T-Mobile?

About four days after the payment was originally due I received several phone calls to chase payment of the overdue account.

I did not make payment though and just left the account to fester for a while.

I received letters reminding me that the account was overdue and that payment must be made immediately or I would be disconnected from the network.

After three months the account was referred to a debt collection agency called Buchanan Clark and Wells.

I also received a Default entry on my credit file as well so that will be around for a while, even after I settle the account.

What are Buchanan Clark and Wells like to deal with?

So far they have been OK to deal with as far as debt collection agencies go. I have been making payments to them now for 18 months and not had any trouble.

I suppose so long as the repayments are made on time then there shouldn’t be any further issues.

I arranged my payment plan by sending them an e-mail and received confirmation that my offer was agreed about a week later.

I currently make payment by standing order as it means I have complete control over when payments are sent.

What are my Plans for the T-Mobile Debt?

It is on my list of debt to be settled next year. There are no charges other than what is due so the balance is what it is.
