My Natwest Debt is my is my second largest debt and was a Personal Loan. I think it is safe to say that this will be one of the last debts I pay off.
I currently repay £67.06 per month to the account and it is with a debt collection agency now.
Here is a quick overview of my Natwest Debt: –
Current Balance: £9,948.51
Original Balance: £11,723.23
What happened with my Natwest Debt?
Well I stopped making the monthly payments like I did with all my accounts. I then played the waiting game.
I received a number of letters and phone calls to chase up payment but I just kept ignoring them. I was already busy trying to sort out my payday loan mess and Natwest were right at the back of my mind.
After six months, the account was passed to a debt collection agency called Allied International Credit. They sent me a letter advising I needed to make payment but I also ignored that for a while as well.
After another six months I decided to start sorting things out. All in all it took a year but nothing happened, maybe I am an exception to the rule as this is unusual.
What are Allied International Credit like to deal with?
They have been OK so far. I have made requests for statements that were provided after an initial problem. I have been paying Allied International Credit for a number of months now and have not heard a thing which is good.
I like it when I can just pay my debts and not have the debt collection agency asking for more money, or to complete a payment review every five minutes.
When I first contacted Allied International Credit, I actually phoned them to discuss my repayment offer rather than send a letter. My normal method is to contact a debt collection agency in writing.
However Allied International Credit were in no way pushy and listened to what I had to say. I explained my repayment offer and it was accepted.
What are my plans for this Debt?
Just to repay my monthly payment, and possibly increase it once all my other debts are paid. I have a lot of other debts so it will be quite some time before this happens.
My Natwest debt is the least interesting debt of them all I’m afraid. However I thought I would make a mention of it so I can keep track of things.
