Received possibly one of the least interesting letters ever from a company called CARS or Creditlink Account Recovery Solutions Limited. They are yet another debt collection agency, chasing me for money. It landed on my doormat today and I didn’t recognise the address.

When you have as many debts as I do, you quickly start to guess correctly which debt collection agency has sent you some fan mail, based on just the appearance of the envelope and the font used. Crazy I know but trust me you do after a while.

To get back on track the letter relates to an outstanding mobile phone bill from three. Nothing too exciting there then.

They said and I quote: –

Dear Sir/Madam

Please contact C.A.R.S urgently on 0844 8800 880.

C.A.R.S

I think they have also been trying to call me for the last few days. 6 missed calls today so far from an unknown number. No messages have been left though. Amazing the lengths these debt collection agencies will go to in order to contact you.

They are chasing a whopping £92.08. I have dealt with this outfit before and my advice is this, deal with them only in writing.

Sorting them out

I have written a quick e-mail to ask what’s going on and I await their reply. I have spoke to this company by phone and they were truly shocking. They are the worst debt collection agency I have ever dealt with, full stop. As some of you know I deal with a lot of different debt collection agencies and these are by far the worst in my opinion.

I could pay the £92.08 but that wouldn’t be fair on my other creditors so they will have to wait, like the rest of them for their money. They even charge you to make payment by card and that’s per transaction. I also note they have no details of any debt help resources on their letters unlike most debt collection agencies nowadays. I think that should become a requirement if I am honest so at least those struggling know where to get help.
