So you are in debt are you? I am in Debt too, welcome to the club. That’s why I set up this blog, so I would be accountable to the debt I am in, as well as sharing my experiences with you, the reader.

OK so we now know you are in debt, now that realisation is out of the way, what are you going to do about it? This post will help you get started with sorting out your debt problems.

Getting into Debt

This part was easy. Spend and don’t think about the consequences. That’s what happened with me, although there are a whole number of reasons why you could be in debt.

If you like you can find out more about my Debt by clicking here. It might make you feel better to see how much debt I am in, or maybe not but it was worth a try.

Sometimes getting into debt is through no fault of your own and other times it is due to over spending or being irresponsible with credit. I am sure you can guess which category I fall under.

The fact is that you are in debt but you can start to sort things out. We are quite lucky in some respects because there are a number of organisations who can help you for free.

Getting out of Debt, what can you do?

The good news is you can get out of debt, whether you believe it or not. Luckily you are not alone. A lot of us are in Debt and that’s reason why we have Debt Charities to help us, or you can help yourself.

Below I list some articles on this blog which you can read if you like, they explain the different ways to get out of debt including organisations who you can contact for free impartial advice: –

You should be able to make a start getting out of debt once you have read the above posts. Or you might have found a link to one of the organisations who can help you. Feel free to visit this blog again and update me on your progress.

Accepting you are in Debt

The hardest part is coming to terms with your debt situation. Accepting you are in debt is the first step towards sorting things out.

The sooner you do this the better as the longer you leave it, the worse the situation will get. Trust me because I know that leaving things just delays the inevitable.

Once you have got a plan in place to start tackling your debt problems, you will feel much happier about yourself and your financial situation.

Spending all day worrying about debt, and not being able to sleep at night because of debt is not a nice feeling. Rest assured though that you are not alone and you can get through it.

If you would like to write a little bit about your own debt situation, please leave a comment – I would love to hear from you.
